Jeff studied classical and jazz trumpet, but also performs and teaches many other styles of music. In addition to 10 years of experience teaching private lessons, Jeff has taught at summer music camps in Colorado and Wyoming, directed a jazz big band and jazz combo at the University of Wyoming, and taught guitar, trumpet, flute, and music fundamentals at the Oakland Public Conservatory Summer Music Academy. He is currently an active performer in the Bay Area across a broad spectrum of musical traditions, and can be heard in the groups Sinigual, Lagos Roots, and Congratulatinos. “Music is my main life focus, but I also enjoy local history, biking, watching basketball, cooking, languages, and snowboarding.”
